Our Top Selling Condenser Unit - Amana R410A 14 SEER ASX14 Series

Amana ASX14 CondenserMade in USA

If you are looking for dependable, efficient comfort, the Amana ASX14 Condenser is for you. It uses chlorine-free R410A (Puron) and, depending on the efficiency of the equipment it is matched with (your furnace and your evaporator coil), it can achieve up to a 15 SEER efficiency performance rating. This unit features an energy-efficient compressor and Copeland Comfort Alert diagnostics. Its durability comes from its housing: a heavy-gauge galvanized steel cabinet with a wire fan discharge grille and a steel louver coil guard. Thanks to its high-density foam compressor sound blanket, the ASX14 Condenser is known for its quiet operation.

In fact, Amana has so much confidence in the integrity of this condenser, the unit comes with what may well be the best warranty of any condenser presently on the market: a ten-year warranty on parts and a lifetime warranty on the compressor. To qualify for the lifetime warranty, the unit must be installed under a licensed contractor in a single-family home, must be registered with Amana within sixty days, and must be properly matched to the home's other air conditioning equipment. ACU Air's office staff personally registers the new equipment on behalf its clients, mails them a hard copy of the registration confirmation, and keeps a copy of the registration confirmation on file. Please note that the lifetime warranty on the compressor is good for as long as the homeowner owns the home. Once the home is sold, the warranty reverts to ten years on the compressor. ACU Air warranties its labor on the installation of this condenser for one year.

Another great thing about Amana condensers is that they are made in the USA. In fact, they are assembled right here in Texas!

Our Top Selling Evaporator Coil - Goodman Slab Coil CSCF Series

Goodman Slab Coil CSCFMade in USA

Need an evaporator coil that can withstand Gulf Coast summers and keep your home cool? Look no further than Goodman's CSCF series. This Goodman Evaporator Coil features rust-resistant, thermoplastic drain pans, rifled copper tubing, and corrugated aluminum fin coils.

While it is marketed as an R410 Evaporator Coil, the beauty of the Goodman CSCF Slab Evaporator Coil is that it can be installed to work with both R22 and R410A condenser units. This means that if you currently have an R22 Condenser and your evaporator coil fails, a new Goodman CSCF Evaporator Coil will operate with your existing condenser. When your condenser reaches the end of its lifespan and you make the transition to R410A equipment, your air conditioning contractor can convert the Goodman CSCF Slab Evaporator Coil to work with R410A refrigerant by changing the unit's thermal expansion valve. Of course, if you already have R410A equipment and need to replace your coil, the Goodman CSCF Slab Evaporator Coil will operate with the R410A refrigerant.

While the Goodman CSCF Slab Evaporator Coil is certainly not the only coil on the market which can be used with both R410A and R22 refrigerant, it has another feature which has made it highly popular among our Woodlands and Conroe customers: it can be installed with an access door which will allow air conditioning technicians to more efficiently and effectively access the coil when it needs to be cleaned and serviced. This means lower labor charges. Furthermore, because the unit does not have to be moved in order to be serviced, there is less wear and tear on the equipment.

Another great thing about the Goodman CSCF series is that these evaporator coils come with a ten-year parts warranty (as compared to the common industry standard of five years). To be eligible for the ten-year parts warranty, the evaporator coil must be registered with Goodman within sixty days. ACU Air's office staff personally registers the new equipment on behalf its clients, mails them a hard copy of the registration confirmation, and keeps a copy of the registration confirmation on file.

Like Amana, Goodman equipment is made in the USA. In fact, it's assembled right here in the Houston area.

If you live in our service area and need to replace your evaporator coil, call us today and schedule a free quote. While the Goodman CSCF Slab Evaporator Coil is our best selling evaporator coil, ACU Air Heating and Air Conditioning also offers other brands and models. Our technician will take a look at your home's heating and cooling configuration, ask you about your specific preferences and needs, and help you select the brand and model which will best meet those needs.

Our Top Selling Furnace - Amana AMH80 Series

Amana AMH80 Furnace

The Amana AMH80 is a two-stage multi-speed furnace. This translates to steadier, more even comfort than a standard single-stage furnace. The two-stage furnace eliminates the temperature swings commonly associated with abrupt, high-stage furnace stops-and-starts by operating at low-stage heating the majority of the time. The furnace's patented technology automatically adjusts to the high or low stage as needed.

The Amana AMH80 furnace's fully insulated heavy-gauge steel cabinet with its durable baked-enamel finish is built to last. This may explain why this model comes with one of the best warranties in the heating industry: a lifetime warranty on the heat exchanger for the original, registered homeowner and a ten-year warranty on its other parts. ACU Air's office staff personally registers the furnaces it installs and mails a hard copy of the registration confirmation to the homeowner. ACU Air warranties its labor on newly installed equipment for one year.

Our Top Selling Media Filter - Honeywell™ Media Filter

According to the EPA, indoor air pollutants are, on average, two to five times higher than outdoor air pollutants. Respiratory infections, allergies, and asthma can all be aggravated by indoor pollutants. In fact, this problem has become so common in American homes and places of businesses, environmentalists have coined the term Sick Building Syndrome to describe it. While disposable pleated filters will capture more particles than standard disposable filters, pleated filters may interfere with your cooling and heating system by restricting airflow to the units.

One of the best weapons at a homeowners' disposal to fight indoor airborne pollutants is a media filter. The disposable filter inside your return air grill captures approximately fifteen percent of airborne pollutants. A media filter will capture eighty to ninety-five percent of particulants. So long as it is changed before it becomes clogged (most media filters should be changed annually), it will not restrict the air flow to your unit.

Our best selling media filter is the Honeywell™ Media Filter. This filter is installed inside your cooling and heating system so that one-hundred percent of the recycled air passes through it. The Honeywell™ Media Filter will not only improve your home's indoor air quality, but will also improve the operating efficiency of your air conditioning and heating system by reducing the amount of dust that accumulates in your equipment. Excessive dust accumulations can create hot spots on your electrical windings, stress your ball bearings, and affect the balance of your blower wheel.

Note that media filters are intended to function in addition to, not in lieu of, your standard disposable (or washable electrostatic) filter. If you do not continue to use a disposable or electrostatic filter inside your return air grill, the media filter will become clogged much more quickly by the larger airborne particles and will have to be replaced more often to prevent a restriction in airflow.
